DISCOVER CAROVA 4X4 BEACH

Here, the journey is part of the adventure. Located approximately 9 miles north of the paved roads of Corolla, Carova Beach is known for its wide, sandy shoreline, peaceful surroundings, and wild horses that roam freely through the community.

One of the best parts of staying in Carova Beach is enjoying the wide-open shoreline! During the summer season, beach parking permits are required to park along the beach. Two permits are provided with your stay, making it easy to pack your beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas for a day of tailgating by the ocean. Enjoy the freedom of spending the day right on the sand, with the wild horses and beautiful Outer Banks scenery all around you. Please keep a safe distance of at least 50 feet from the horses.

MUST: A true four-wheel-drive vehicle is required to reach the property. AWD vehicles are not recommended.

ROOM FOR EVERYONE

The top floor is the heart of the home, featuring a spacious great room, kitchen, dining area, and access to the decks. Gather for family meals, enjoy morning coffee with the coastal breeze, or settle in after a full day on the beach.

ENTERTAINMENT FOR ALL AGES

The first floor is all about fun! Challenge your family to a game of pool and gather around the sports bar area or enjoy movie night in the dedicated theater room with seating for twelve.

OUTDOOR GATHERING
Spend sunny afternoons by the private pool, unwind in the hot tub, or relax on the upper decks while taking in beautiful ocean views and coastal breezes. It's all part of the laid-back pace of beach living at Bubba's.

REST EASY
With 10 king bedrooms, a twin bedroom, and a duo bunk room, Bubba's offers an especially comfortable layout for large families and multiple generations vacationing together. Most bedrooms feature private bathrooms, with additional shared and half baths throughout the home.


Guests have private access to the entire home and all its amenities, including the pool, hot tub, outdoor spaces, and entertainment areas.

Self-check-in is available beginning at 4:00 PM. Detailed arrival instructions and your access code will be provided before your stay.

IMPORTANT 4WD ACCESS INFORMATION

Bubba's Beach House is located in the 4x4 area of Carova Beach, approximately 9 miles north of the paved roads in Corolla. Access requires driving directly on the beach and sandy interior roads. A true 4WD vehicle with adequate ground clearance is required. AWD vehicles are not recommended. We recommend airing down tires to 15–20 PSI before entering the beach. Bring a tire pressure gauge if your vehicle is not equipped with one, and plan your beach travel around low tide whenever possible for the best driving conditions.

BEACH PARKING

Two seasonal beach parking permits are provided for your stay. These allow you to park along the shoreline for beach days, tailgating, and enjoying the beautiful Carova coastline.

WILD HORSES

Carova is home to the wild Banker horses, descendants of Colonial Spanish Mustangs, which roam freely throughout the community. Guests must maintain a minimum distance of 50 feet from the horses. Feeding or approaching them is strictly prohibited.

VACATION RENTAL INSURANCE

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment. Unexpected circumstances such as illness, travel delays, severe weather, or other unforeseen events can disrupt even the best-laid plans. Travel insurance may provide coverage for eligible cancellations, interruptions, and other unexpected expenses, depending on the policy selected. We encourage guests to review their coverage options and purchase insurance shortly after booking.

HOUSE RULES

The primary booking guest must be at least 25 years old and remain at the property throughout the reservation. Maximum occupancy is 24 guests.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the home. Guests who smoke outdoors must properly dispose of all cigarette butts and smoking materials. Please help us keep the property and surrounding natural environment clean and beautiful.

We welcome family reunions and celebrations among registered guests. All gatherings should be respectful of the property, neighboring homes, and peaceful surroundings.

POOL & HOT TUB

The private pool is open seasonally from May through September, weather permitting. The hot tub is available year-round for guests to enjoy.
