Carova 4x4 Beach is a unique destination, unlike your typical beach vacation. The pavement ends in Corolla around Milepost 13, followed by approximately 9 miles of driving directly on the beach to reach the home near Milepost 22. A true 4WD vehicle is required. The beach drive is part of the Carova experience, with wide-open shoreline, wild horses and beautiful coastal scenery along the way.

Inside, three levels offer plenty of gathering space with room to gather and room to spread out.

Each bedroom has access to a private bath, with the Queen bedroom and bunk room sharing a bath.

First floor: Rec/living room, pool table and game area, TV, kitchenette with refrigerator, Queen sleeper sofa and full bath.

Second floor: Bedrooms, laundry and access to the rear deck and hot tub.

Third floor: Primary King suite, kitchen and great room, sun/game room and loft reading area.

Outside, enjoy the private pool and hot tub, along with a sand volleyball court, basketball, pickleball and a fire-pit. Kayaks, SUPs and pedal boats make it easy to head out and explore the canals right from the property. The private canal front dock also offers the unique option of arranging local fishing charters that can pick you up right at the house for a day on the water.

Driving on the sand is required and is part of the 4x4 beach experience. 4wd vehicles are a must for the This home is located in Carova’s 4x4 area and a true 4WD vehicle is required to reach the property. The pavement ends in Corolla around Milepost 13, followed by approximately 9 miles of driving directly on the beach to the Milepost 22 area.

GPS can be unreliable in the 4x4 area and may try to route you behind the dunes too soon. Detailed driving directions will be provided before arrival. The cell tower at the Carova Beach Volunteer Fire & Rescue station near Milepost 21.5 is a helpful visual landmark as you approach the property.

Guests without a 4WD vehicle may arrange off-sand parking and transportation to the home through local vendors.

Carova is also home to the wild Colonial Spanish Mustangs. For their safety and yours, Currituck County ordinance requires everyone to remain at least 50 feet away from the wild horses at all times. Please do not approach, feed or interact with them.
Up to 2 house-trained dogs are welcome with the applicable pet fee. No cats.

No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the home.
